Dubai: Oraseya Capital, the investment arm of Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ), has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NQubator, an innovation platform focused on early-stage tech ventures. This strategic agreement is designed to bolster the identification, development, and investment readiness of technology startups in the UAE.
According to Emirates News Agency, the MoU was signed by Hassan Waheed, Executive Vice President of Finance at DIEZ and Partner at Oraseya Capital, and Saeed Hamad Al Hamli, Founder and CEO of NQubator. The signing ceremony was attended by senior representatives from both organizations, marking a collaborative effort to align startup development programs with venture capital investment strategies. This initiative supports the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, aiming to position Dubai as a global leader in the digital economy and advanced technologies.
Under the terms of the agreement, NQubator will refer selected startups from its programs to Oraseya Capital for further evaluation. These startups will have undergone structured incubation and validation processes to enhance their commercial readiness and scalability. Hassan Waheed stated that the partnership reflects Oraseya Capital's dedication to supporting high-potential technology startups and strengthening Dubai's venture capital ecosystem. He emphasized that working with NQubator allows for earlier engagement in the startup journey, fostering innovation-led entrepreneurship.
Saeed Hamad Al Hamli expressed that the partnership with Oraseya Capital is a strategic move to bridge early-stage innovation with scalable, investment-ready ventures. Oraseya Capital will evaluate these opportunities based on its investment strategy and due diligence framework. Additionally, it will participate in NQubator's ecosystem through mentorship, advisory roles, and other innovation-focused initiatives that contribute to founder development. The agreement also allows for potential co-investment opportunities, enabling NQubator or its partners to invest alongside Oraseya Capital in selected funding rounds.
This partnership highlights a shared commitment to accelerating the transition of startups from incubation to investment readiness, enhancing the quality of early-stage companies entering the venture pipeline. It aims to foster a more competitive and globally connected technology sector in the UAE, contributing to long-term growth and development.
