The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed its warning of the dangers of the occupation escalating its illegal unilateral measures, while criticizing the international community's response to it.
The ministry said in a statement on Sunday that the international community's satisfaction with repeating its stated positions regarding adhering to the two-state solution without being linked to practical measures that guarantee its protection, encourages the occupying state and settlement associations to persist in settlement.
The ministry stressed that the occupying state and its various allies continue to perpetuate colonialism and accelerate the announced and unannounced gradual annexation of the occupied West Bank - filling it with settlers, leading to the dismemberment of it and preventing any geographical contiguity between it.
The ministry also pointed out the Israeli escalation made against the Palestinians by targeting and demolishing their homes and facilities under false pretexts, which coincides with the crimes of stealing, leveling and controlling Palestinian citizens' lands.
It is noteworthy that there are 244 Israeli settlements and outposts in the occupied West Bank, including 12 in East Jerusalem, where about 575,000 Israeli settlers live.
