Abu dhabi: Aligned with its mission to raise awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early detection, and in support of the UN's Sustainable Development Goal 3 on good health and well-being, the Pink Caravan is offering breast examination through its dedicated Mini Mobile Clinic during Pink October. Companies can also host the clinic as part of their corporate social responsibility, helping sustain the Pink Caravan's services while investing in community health. According to Emirates News Agency, a clinical breast examination is a simple, quick procedure that plays a vital role in the early detection of breast cancer. It helps identify early signs of the disease and allows specialists to detect changes that may require further tests, such as a mammogram. To make early detection services widely accessible, the Pink Caravan operates two units. The Mobile Medical Clinic is equipped with an advanced radiology unit (mammogram) featuring 2D and 3D technology. It offers advanced diagnostic screenings a nd has garnered significant interest, with most October appointments already booked. The Mini Mobile Clinic, dedicated exclusively to clinical breast examination, is available as a practical way to reach more women and expand access to essential screening. By hosting the Mini Mobile Clinic, companies and organisations not only support women's health in the workplace but also contribute directly to the achievement of SDG3. The UN's global goal calls for reducing premature mortality from non-communicable diseases by one-third through prevention and treatment by 2030, while ensuring healthcare access as a basic human right. Corporate partnerships with the Pink Caravan extend beyond October. The Mini Mobile Clinic plays a vital role in sustaining awareness campaigns and ensuring more women have access to early detection throughout the year, improving the chances of early diagnosis and successful treatment. The Pink Caravan encourages companies, organisations, and institutions to take part in this initiative by hosting the Mini Mobile Clinic. Doing so demonstrates corporate social responsibility, strengthens public health, and reinforces the message that investing in community health is an investment in a safer, more sustainable future.
