Presight Expands Regional Presence with New Office in Astana

Astana: Presight, a UAE-based big data analytics and artificial intelligence company, has inaugurated its first regional office outside the UAE in Astana. This move coincides with the official visit of H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, to Kazakhstan. The opening ceremony was graced by Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Chairman of Presight. According to Emirates News Agency, the establishment of the Astana office underscores the UAE's commitment to supporting AI-driven initiatives and digital transformation in Kazakhstan. The office, located at the Astana International Financial Centre, will serve as a central hub for Presight's operations in Central Asia, aiming to enhance its in-country project execution capabilities. Presight currently employs over 40 Kazakh nationals in its Astana office, emphasizing its dedication to fostering local talent and contributing to the nation's digital progress. The company is working on ke y projects, including the Alem.AI National Centre for Artificial Intelligence, which is positioned as the first large-scale AI hub in Central Asia. Within this initiative, Presight will establish an AI Command and Control Centre to facilitate intelligent monitoring and decision-making across various urban systems in Astana. The inauguration event saw attendance from notable figures including Mansour Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Chairman of the Department of Health - Abu Dhabi and Vice Chairman of Presight, and Thomas Pramotedham, CEO of Presight. Kazakh dignitaries such as Zhenis Kassymbek, Mayor of Astana, and Zhaslan Madiyev, Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry, were also present. The Astana smart city project aims to bolster Kazakhstan's leadership in AI and set a global example of digital enablement. It focuses on improving public safety, infrastructure management, sustainable energy use, and responsive city services. Importantly, 60 percent of the project is being executed by Kaz akh suppliers, highlighting a commitment to local economic development.
