Ras al khaimah: Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) has entered into a partnership with the Indian construction firm Rana Group to establish the Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub, a project set to transform the region's industrial and sustainability sectors.
According to Emirates News Agency, the collaboration will facilitate the expansion of Rana Group's electric vehicle subsidiary, Erisha E Mobility, in the Middle East and Africa, while also strengthening its presence in India. The Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub will cover an area of 15 million square feet, with a construction area totaling approximately 25 million square feet. This facility will support over 150 industries and focus on technologies such as electric and hydrogen vehicle production, renewable energy, EVTOL aircraft, and semiconductor manufacturing.
The Hub aims to create a sustainable and technologically advanced ecosystem, integrating industrial, residential, and commercial spaces. It will include facilities such as hospitals, medical colleges, shopping complexes, hypermarkets, warehouses, office spaces, community centers, banks, and financial institutions.
RAKEZ Group CEO, Ramy Jallad, emphasized that Ras Al Khaimah is establishing itself as a base for technological innovation and sustainable development. With its infrastructure, strategic location, and business environment, the emirate is poised to support initiatives like the Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub. This project is expected to drive economic diversification and create thousands of new jobs, promoting growth and reinforcing Ras Al Khaimah's leadership in green energy and advanced manufacturing.
Erisha E Mobility Chairman and Managing Director, Dr. Darshan Rana, expressed excitement about the partnership with RAKEZ, highlighting that the project will play a significant role in the green energy revolution and contribute to the UAE's net zero ambitions. The goal is to set new standards in sustainable industrialization, drive innovation, and support the transition to cleaner energy solutions.
