Moscow: The Russian Air Defence systems successfully intercepted and destroyed 31 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over various regions of the Russian Federation and the Sea of Azov. This operation occurred over a span of several hours, as confirmed by the Russian Ministry of Defence.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Ministry of Defence stated, “In the period from 23:30 Moscow time on June 27 to 06:45 Moscow time on June 28, 31 Ukrainian aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted and destroyed by air defence systems on duty.” This statement highlights the ongoing aerial conflict and the effectiveness of Russian defences in responding to Ukrainian UAV incursions.
The announcement comes on the heels of a separate claim by the Ukrainian military, asserting that they successfully struck four Su-34 bombers at the Marinovka base, located approximately 900 kilometers from the border. This development marks a significant point in the ongoing military engagements between the two nations.
