Sharjah:The Sharjah SME "Ruwad" has announced the release of a new book focusing on agricultural entrepreneurship in the United Arab Emirates. This publication marks the inaugural instalment of Ruwad's annual research series titled "Entrepreneurial Sectors in Sharjah." The book, prepared by the Studies and Advisory Support Department within Ruwad’s Training and Development Division, is available in both Arabic and English.
According to Sharjah 24, the book is structured into five chapters and outlines the significant changes occurring in the agriculture sector of Sharjah. It delves into the impact of entrepreneurship, innovation, and modern technology on food security, self-reliance, and the sustainability of the food supply chain. Additionally, it highlights opportunities for agricultural entrepreneurship and the essential elements within the emirate that bolster this sector.
The book will be showcased to the public at the Emirates Publishers Association pavilion (Hall 5, Stand N21) during the 2026 Sharjah International Book Fair at the Expo Centre Sharjah. A launch event is scheduled for 9th November at the "Hall of Thought" (Qaat al-Fikr), with senior officials from the Sharjah Department of Economic Development and the foundation expected to attend.
