Abu dhabi: H.H. Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, attended the Rabdan Academy 2025 Graduation Ceremony, a significant national event bringing together leadership, citizens, families, and representatives from various national and international institutions in a show of unity and celebration.
According to Emirates News Agency, the ceremony was graced by several distinguished guests, including Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Council and UAE Media Council Board of Directors; Fadli Zon, Minister of Culture of Indonesia; Sara Awadh Musallam, Chairwoman of ADEK; and numerous high-ranking officials from UAE's defense and security sectors. The ceremony honored 233 graduates from diverse academic backgrounds, including eight international students from Afghanistan, Indonesia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
The graduates represented various national bodies, including the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Interior, Abu Dhabi Police, the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court, the Presidential Court, and other strategic entities. H.H. Sheikh Saif congratulated the graduates and their families, recognizing their achievements as pivotal to enhancing the UAE's national security and resilience framework.
Sheikh Saif emphasized the importance of lifelong learning and urged graduates to be exemplars of knowledge and practice, highlighting the collective success of UAE's institutions and human capital. Staff Lt Gen Michael Simon Hindmarsh, Chairman of Rabdan Academy's Board of Trustees, praised the Academy's role in developing specialized educational ecosystems aligned with national priorities.
James Anthony Morse, President of Rabdan Academy, expressed pride in the ceremony as a testament to the leadership's trust and the Academy's esteemed position as a national institution. Salem Saeed Al Saeedi, Vice President of Rabdan Academy, highlighted the ceremony as a reflection of Emirati society's cohesion and commitment to integrating education with national safety and security sectors.
Graduates expressed their pride in being part of Rabdan Academy, acknowledging the leadership's guidance and pledging their commitment to national service. They noted the exceptional educational journey combining academic and professional training, instilling values essential for overcoming future challenges.
Dr. Naji Mohammed Al Seiari, Dean of Faculty and Director of Research and Innovation, emphasized the Academy's dedication to academic and research excellence, contributing to the UAE's global standing. Prof. Jaco Barkhuizen, Program Chair of Policing and Security, commended the graduates for their hard work and readiness to lead in resilience and security.
