Saif bin Zayed Inaugurates Seamless Middle East 2025 Digital Economy Conference and Exhibition

Dubai: H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, inaugurated the Conference and Exhibition for Digital Economy Technologies 'Seamless Middle East 2025' at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event, held from May 20 to 22 under the patronage of the Arab League, draws senior officials, sectoral experts, and key figures from the global digital economy sector.

According to Emirates News Agency, the event showcases the launch of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy's strategic plan for 2025-2030, under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This initiative is part of the UAE's ongoing commitment to leading regional efforts in comprehensive digital transformation, aligned with the "Arab Digital Vision" that was initiated in Abu Dhabi in 2018 and adopted at the Arab Leaders Summit in 2022.

A significant international event, Seamless Middle East 2025 serves as a milestone in the UAE's pursuit of using technology for development, peace, and tolerance. The event underscores the role of the UAE as a center of innovation and a key player in shaping the future economy. Attendees include prominent figures like Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League, Arab ministers, and experts, all discussing crucial topics such as electronic payments and digital identity.

The conference is organized by the Arab Federation for Digital Economy and Terrapinn International, with over 800 speakers featured across 200 panels and 70 workshops. With more than 30,000 participants and 750 exhibiting companies, the event is a major attraction for those involved in digital transformation, highlighting the rapid pace of change and innovation in the sector.

The Arab Federation for Digital Economy has also announced a strategic partnership with China, focusing on accelerating digital transformation projects in the Arab region. The collaboration aims to enhance efforts in artificial intelligence, big data, and smart cities, creating a model for digital cooperation and integration across the Arab world.

During the event, the winners of the Arab Digital Economy Award were honored, celebrating initiatives and figures contributing to digital transformation in the region. The awards highlight leaders and projects driving innovation and excellence, such as the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority and the UAE's Al Maryah Local Bank.

The Arab Federation's strategic plan outlines a roadmap for building a sustainable digital economy, emphasizing projects like the Arab Digital Economy Index and the Digital Education Platform. The plan aims to foster a resilient Arab digital economy by aligning with global trends and leveraging emerging technologies.

Dr. Ali Mohammed Al Khouri, Advisor to the Council of Arab Economic Unity and Chairman of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, underscored the significance of strategic global alliances in accelerating Arab digital economic progress, with the UAE positioned as a hub for innovation and expansion to other Arab nations. The partnership with China is seen as transformative, combining industrial and technological expertise with regional ambitions for a dynamic Arab digital economy.
