SEC Approves General Organisational Structures of Sharjah’s Municipalities

Sharjah: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), chaired a significant council meeting held at the Ruler's Office. The meeting focused on several government-related topics, with the aim of achieving further progress across various fields and sectors within the Emirate of Sharjah.

According to Emirates News Agency, one of the key outcomes of the meeting was the approval of the general organisational structures for the municipalities of cities and regions across the Emirate. This decision follows the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to enhance the efficiency and institutional capabilities of government entities. The municipalities included in this approval are Khorfakkan, Kalba, Dibba Al Hisn, Al Dhaid, Al Madam, Mleiha, Al Bataeh, and Al Hamriyah.

This strategic move underscores the leadership's commitment to advancing the government work system in alignment with best practices. It is expected to foster the development of qualified national talent, bolster the delivery of technical services, and ensure the protection of public health across the municipal sector.

Furthermore, the council reviewed a presentation on the results of the Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition (ACRES) 2026, which took place last January. The event featured participation from over 120 companies and showcased more than 200 projects, achieving sales worth AED4.8 billion. Notably, the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department recorded a 45.3% increase in revenues during the exhibition.

The presentation also detailed that the Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition attracted more than 18,000 visitors from various nationalities. The exhibition's accompanying programme included 22 training courses, workshops, and panel discussions aimed at enhancing real estate awareness and investment knowledge, as well as providing guidance on buying and selling.
