New york: The S and P 500 and the Nasdaq ended Wednesday's trading session on a lower note, with technology stocks showing a mixed performance. Investors are closely monitoring upcoming earnings reports to assess the strength of a market rally driven by interest in artificial intelligence.

According to Emirates News Agency, preliminary data indicated that the S and P 500 declined by 10.72 points, or 0.14 percent, concluding at 7,498.48 points. Similarly, the Nasdaq Composite saw a decrease of 145.48 points, or 0.56 percent, closing at 25,691.72.

In contrast, the Dow Jones Industrial Average experienced a slight increase, rising by 1.52 points to finish at 52,226.16. Investors are particularly focused on the technology sector's upcoming earnings, which are expected to provide insights into the sustainability of the recent market rally.
