Spain affirms continued financial support to UNRWA

MADRID: In a statement today, Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares affirmed his country's continued financial support to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). On Sunday, the governments of Scotland and Ireland also confirmed their continuous funding for the UN relief agency. The Spanish minister stressed that the work of UNRWA is absolutely essential, stating that funding UNRWA helps alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in the Strip.
