Sultan Bin Ahmed Witnesses Signing of MoUs for Government Excellence Partnerships

Abu dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah, attended the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) for the Knowledge Partnerships Programme for Government Performance and Excellence at the UAE Government Annual Meetings 2025.

According to Emirates News Agency, the initiative is designed to train and qualify specialists in government excellence. The signing ceremony involved several academic institutions aimed at developing and implementing the 'Certified Assessor in Government Excellence - Individual Assessment' programme. The MoUs were signed by the Prime Minister's Office with the University of Sharjah, Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University, Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy, Sheikh Khalifa Government Excellence Programme, and Rabdan Academy. A joint working document was also signed with the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources and the UAE Government Leaders Programme.

Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi highlighted the significance of the MoUs, emphasizing the University of Sharjah's dedication to supporting the UAE's government excellence framework. The university aims to nurture national talent according to professional and academic standards, fostering a culture of quality and innovation in institutional work. This initiative seeks to prepare skilled individuals capable of leading improvement and development across various sectors.

The Certified Assessor in Government Excellence - Individual Assessment programme marks a crucial step in building national capabilities for evaluating institutional and individual performance. This aligns with the Sheikh Khalifa Government Excellence Programme's standards, focusing on evidence-based, transparent, and impartial evaluations.

According to the MoUs, all parties will develop content and implement training programmes for this initiative. Participants from federal, local, and private sector entities will be qualified to work as assessors, using evaluation criteria and tools approved by the Sheikh Khalifa Programme. The programme includes feedback reports and professional presentations before judging panels, ensuring thorough documentation and evaluation processes.

On the sidelines of the MoU signing, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi visited the Artificial Intelligence Experiences Pavilion at the UAE Government Annual Meetings 2025. He explored innovative technologies and AI applications showcased by government entities, aimed at enhancing efficiency, boosting smart government experiences, and contributing to the UAE's vision for digital transformation.

He was briefed on how AI integration has improved various government services, making them faster, more accurate, and more user-friendly. The advancements reflect the government's ongoing efforts to develop a smart, efficient, and forward-looking service ecosystem.

The signing ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Sheikh Fahim bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, and Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, alongside ministers and senior officials from various government departments.
