Tunis: The Tunisian Minister of Interior, Kamal El-Feki, and his Italian counterpart, Matteo Piantidozzi, discussed the prospects of cooperation and partnership programs linking the two countries, especially in the areas of combating illegal migration and combating organized crime. The Tunisian Interior Ministry stated in a statement published by Tunisian Africa News Agency (TAT) that during a phone call, the two ministers discussed the outcomes of the tripartite meeting with their Libyan counterpart in November 2023 in Rome in this regard. The call reviewed the efforts of the two parties to support the capabilities of Tunisian security units to combat networks active in the area of human trafficking and organize illegal migration between the two countries.
