Abu dhabi: The UAE air defences systems engaged 20 ballistic missiles and 37 UAVs launched from Iran on 28th March 2026. This development marks a significant response to the ongoing Iranian assaults on UAE territories.
According to Emirates News Agency, since the inception of these aggressive actions by Iran, UAE air defences have intercepted a total of 398 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,872 UAVs. These attacks have led to significant casualties, including the martyrdom of two members of the UAE armed forces and a Moroccan civilian who was under contract with the Armed Forces. Additionally, there have been eight fatalities involving individuals from Pakistani, Nepali, Bangladeshi, Palestinian, and Indian nationalities.
The ongoing conflict has also resulted in 178 individuals being injured, with injuries classified as minor, moderate, and severe. The injured hail from a wide range of nationalities, including UAE, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Pakistan, Iran, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Yemen, Uganda, Eritrea, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Comoros, Turkey, Iraq, Nepal, Nigeria, Oman, Jordan, Palestine, Ghana, Indonesia, Sweden, and Tunisia.
