UAE and Moldova Hold First Consular Consultations in Abu Dhabi


Abu dhabi: The United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Moldova commenced their inaugural round of consular consultations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters in Abu Dhabi, focusing on enhancing cooperation in mutual interest areas.



According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting featured Rashed Nadhar Rahmah, Director of the UAE Consular Services Department, and Lilian Moraru, Head of the Moldovan Consular Affairs Department, leading their respective delegations. Representatives from relevant government entities of both nations were present. Rahmah extended greetings from H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, emphasizing the robust bilateral relations grounded in mutual respect and understanding. He acknowledged the significant development in bilateral ties, highlighting the two countries’ dedication to expanding partnerships and advancing cooperation to support sustainable development.



Rahmah emphasized the importance of the consultations as a step towards enhancing coordination and communication mechanisms in the consular domain. He stressed the need to develop consular procedures further, exchange expertise, and ensure efficient consular services for citizens of both nations.



Moraru praised the bilateral relations and the mutual desire to build sustainable strategic partnerships. He highlighted the necessity of expanding consular cooperation to improve service quality. Following the consultations, the Moldovan delegation explored the UAE Smart Mission prototype, which employs advanced technologies and artificial intelligence to offer innovative services, showcasing the Ministry’s commitment to leveraging technology for better service delivery.
