UAE and Oman Forge Partnership for Oversight and Governance

Abu dhabi: The UAE Accountability Authority (UAEAA) and the State Financial and Administrative Audit Authority of Oman have formalized a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at fostering collaboration in oversight and developing robust governance mechanisms.

According to Emirates News Agency, the MoU was signed during a meeting between Humaid Obaid Abushibs, President of the UAE Accountability Authority, and Sheikh Ghosn Hilal Al Alawi, Chairman of the State Financial and Administrative Audit Authority of Oman, held in Abu Dhabi. The agreement highlights a mutual commitment to reinforcing transparency, integrity, and accountability within both nations.

The MoU is designed to strengthen the role of both authorities in safeguarding public resources and promoting sustainable development. By cementing these principles, the UAE and Oman aim to enhance their cooperation in governance and oversight, ensuring that public resources are managed effectively and responsibly.
