Abu dhabi: The United Arab Emirates is joining the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in celebrating its 95th National Day on September 23. This event highlights the strong and enduring relations between the leaderships and citizens of both countries.
According to Emirates News Agency, the alliance between the UAE and Saudi Arabia represents a unified Gulf front, reinforces joint Arab initiatives, and acts as a stabilizing force in the region. The bilateral ties, initiated by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and King Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, were further solidified under the leadership of the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud are committed to strengthening the relationship between the two nations across all sectors. The UAE and Saudi Arabia maintain unified positions on Arab, regional, and international matters, grounded in principles that ensure security, peace, and contribute to stability and prosperity both regionally and globally.
The robust bilateral relations have positively impacted the comprehensive and sustainable development in both countries. Initial figures indicate that the UAE's non-oil foreign trade with Saudi Arabia reached AED91 billion (US$25 billion) in the first half of 2025, compared with more than AED151.5 billion (US$41.2 billion) in 2024.
In 2025, Saudi Arabia has made notable advancements in development, economy, and culture, driven by reforms under Saudi Vision 2030, solidifying its role as a key player regionally and globally. The International Monetary Fund has increased its forecast for Saudi Arabia's economic growth in 2025 to 3.6 percent, driven by a resurgence in oil production and steady growth in non-oil sectors surpassing 3.4 percent.
