UAE President and Indian Prime Minister Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Partnership

New delhi: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met for discussions aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation across various fields. The discussions were part of the countries' longstanding ties, underscored by their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and Comprehensive Economic Partnership.

According to Emirates News Agency, the talks took place at the Prime Minister's Residence in New Delhi during the UAE President's working visit to India. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed congratulated Prime Minister Modi on Republic Day, which is celebrated on 26 January, and extended his wishes for India's continued progress and prosperity.

The leaders reviewed the strategic development of UAE-India relations, focusing on shared growth ambitions in sectors such as the economy, investment, space, technology, artificial intelligence, renewable energy, and food security. They reaffirmed the importance of continued dialogue and regular exchanges to broaden cooperation.

His Highness and Prime Minister Modi also exchanged views on regional and international developments of mutual concern and emphasized the value of their partnership in multilateral efforts to advance global development, stability, and prosperity. They shared a belief in the importance of collective international action.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed highlighted the nations' common vision to maximize cooperation opportunities, particularly in technology and artificial intelligence, aiming for a prosperous future. He affirmed the UAE's support for peace efforts in South Asia, aligned with resolving disputes through dialogue.

His Highness extended his best wishes to Prime Minister Modi as India prepares to chair BRICS in 2026, expressing confidence in India's leadership. He also wished success for the upcoming India AI Impact Summit 2026, hoping it will advance the role of artificial intelligence in global development.

The meeting was attended by a delegation accompanying the UAE President, including His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, among other senior UAE officials. His Highness concluded his visit to India and departed the country.
