Abu dhabi: Under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Her Highness Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has been appointed Chair of the Mohamed bin Zayed Foundation for Humanity, with His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan appointed as Vice Chair.
According to Emirates News Agency, under the leadership of Sheikha Mariam, Deputy Chairperson of the Presidential Court for National Projects, and Sheikh Hamdan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, the foundation will further the philanthropic vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan through a variety of programmes and initiatives.
Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed expressed that the foundation embodies the nation's longstanding commitment to philanthropy and the vision of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. She emphasized the honor of continuing the mission to serve humanity and invest in the essential elements of human progress, enabling people worldwide to prosper.
The foundation aims to enhance human potential, support global health priorities, and increase opportunities for vulnerable communities around the globe. Its current focus is on sustainable efforts in global health and inclusive development, investing in innovative solutions that empower individuals and communities to drive prosperity and progress.
In its strategic plan for the next five years, the Mohamed bin Zayed Foundation for Humanity intends to impact more than 500 million people across over 50 countries, including regions in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
