The summit brought together the leaders of the G7 countries, consisting of France, the United States, United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Canada, and Japan, alongside leaders of a number of guest countries.
According to Emirates News Agency, in a speech during the summit, His Highness reaffirmed the UAE's commitment to working alongside its partners to advance peace, security, stability, trust, and development globally. His Highness expressed gratitude to French President Emmanuel Macron for hosting the summit and inviting the UAE to participate, emphasizing the importance of meeting with global partners during challenging times.
His Highness highlighted the profound challenges facing the region and the necessity for greater cooperation and collective action. The President appreciated the support of G7 members during the UAE's defense against Iranian missile and drone attacks. He emphasized the importance of resilient supply chains, secure trade routes, and efficient infrastructure in maintaining global stability.
In this context, His Highness commended US President Donald Trump for efforts towards a memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran, stressing that peace relies on sovereignty, good neighbourliness, and adherence to international law. He also highlighted the potential for collaboration in energy transition, artificial intelligence, and economic development, noting the UAE's role as a forward-thinking partner.
His Highness concluded by stating that the UAE's participation in the G7 Summit underscores its dedication to strengthening partnerships and investing in innovation and resilience, aiming for a prosperous future. The summit is seen as an opportunity to enhance cooperation for regional and global stability and prosperity.
