UAE President Reconstitutes Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology Council

Abu dhabi: In his capacity as Ruler of Abu Dhabi, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued a resolution to reconstitute the Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology Council (AIATC). The council will be chaired by H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan serving as Vice-Chairman.

According to Emirates News Agency, the Council's membership comprises several key figures, including Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak as the Secretary-General, Dr. Ahmed Mubarak bin Nawi Al Mazrouei, Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Jassem Mohamed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, Humaid Obaid Abushibs, Mohamed Hassan Al Suwaidi, Faisal Abdulaziz Al Bannai, Ahmed Tamim Hisham Al Kuttab, and Peng Xiao.

Since its inception, the AIATC has been instrumental in regulating, implementing, and developing policies and strategies concerning artificial intelligence and advanced technologies in Abu Dhabi. The Council plays a crucial role in spearheading funding, investment, and research programs with local and global partners. This initiative is in alignment with the leadership's vision and aims to keep pace with the rapid advancements in artificial intelligence and advanced technology. This effort supports the Abu Dhabi Digital Government Strategy 2025-2027, which seeks to establish Abu Dhabi as the world's first fully AI-native government by 2027, through strategic investments aimed at transforming government operations and enhancing the digital ecosystem.
