Cairo: The UAE Wrestling National Team is set to participate in the Egyptian National Wrestling Championship from July 17th to 23rd. This event is a key component of their preparation for the upcoming Asian Youth Games scheduled to be held in Bahrain this October.
According to Emirates News Agency, the team is currently engaged in a training camp at the Olympic Centre for National Teams in Maadi, Cairo. Following this, they will travel to Alexandria to compete in the championship. The team comprises four athletes: Hamad Yasser, Munther Al Baloushi, Abdullah Al Kendi, and Ibrahim Al Suwaidi. They are led by head coach Ahmed Amrov and supervised by Shaaban El Sayed.
This training camp is part of a strategic initiative by the UAE Wrestling Federation to boost the physical and technical capabilities of its athletes through international programs. The initiative aims to develop their skills, improve tactical performance, and increase their prospects of securing medals in both continental and global championships.
