Abu dhabi: UAE Minister of State Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar has declared that Israel's annexation of the West Bank or any part of the occupied Palestinian territories constitutes a "red line," warning that such actions would undermine regional security. Al Marar emphasized the United Arab Emirates' commitment to protecting Palestinian rights and supporting a two-state solution as the only viable path to a just and comprehensive peace. According to Emirates News Agency, Al Marar made these remarks during a joint press conference with Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States. This followed the conclusion of the 164th session of the Council of Arab Foreign Ministers, which was chaired by the UAE. The meetings resulted in extensive discussions and a full consensus among ministers and heads of delegations on all agenda items. Al Marar highlighted that the primary focus was on stopping the genocide against the Palestinian people by the Israeli occupation and rejecting any attempts by Israel to nullify the Palestinian cause through displacement or annexation. He noted the UAE's ongoing efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and its collaboration with other Arab states to find a solution that halts the conflict and restores stability, followed by essential political and humanitarian arrangements. Ahmed Aboul Gheit affirmed that the Arab ministers agreed to pursue two main directions: immediately stopping the genocide and preserving the notion of an independent Palestinian state as the core of the peace process. He mentioned that Egypt and Saudi Arabia submitted a joint draft resolution on "Arab Cooperation in the Middle East," which was unanimously adopted. This resolution underscores the unified Arab stance against infringements on Arab states' sovereignty, endorses the two-state solution as the framework for resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, and calls for an international conference to implement this solution while seeking greater international recognition of the State of Palestine.
