World Governments Summit: A Crucial Platform for Global Dialogue, Says GCC Secretary-General


Cairo: Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), emphasized the significance of the World Governments Summit as a vital forum for exchanging ideas and discussing public issues that offer both opportunities and challenges in various domains, including political and economic matters, artificial intelligence, science, investment, and energy. These topics directly affect national realities and help shape future outlooks.



According to Emirates News Agency, Albudaiwi, speaking on the sidelines of the summit, noted the event’s remarkable success over its successive editions, supported by the wise leadership of the United Arab Emirates. He remarked that the summit has evolved into a well-established global platform that gathers world leaders and decision-makers from around the globe.



Albudaiwi highlighted the broad participation in the summit, which includes heads of state, senior government officials, ministers, as well as representatives from private sector companies and United Nations organizations. This participation underscores the summit’s significant importance and its advanced standing at both regional and international levels.



Regarding the GCC General Secretariat’s involvement in the summit, Albudaiwi explained that it included three main engagements. The first was organized in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Finance, focusing on the efforts by GCC member states and the General Secretariat to achieve Gulf economic integration, alongside reviewing the necessary steps for completing this integration.
