Abu dhabi: Zayed Authority for People of Determination has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, a part of SEHA under PureHealth Group, to bolster cooperation in the fields of healthcare and rehabilitation, aiming to extend high-quality services for People of Determination.
According to Emirates News Agency, the MoU was signed by Abdullah Abdulalee Al Humaidan, Director-General of Zayed Authority for People of Determination, and Saeed Jaber Al Kuwaiti, Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Health Services Company, with officials from both organizations in attendance.
The agreement outlines a collaborative framework focusing on periodic medical examinations, specialized assessments, and rehabilitation programs conducted by qualified medical teams. It also emphasizes training healthcare professionals in best practices to support People of Determination and includes provisions for exchanging expertise in healthcare and rehabilitation.
Key initiatives under the MoU involve regular visits by a rehabilitation physician, field assessments for enrolled students, and plans to establish a Bee Caf© branch operated by People of Determination within Sheikh Khalifa Medical City to promote workplace inclusion and economic empowerment.
Furthermore, Zayed Authority for People of Determination will provide products from its 3D-printing workshops to Sheikh Khalifa Medical City free of charge for one month. The initiative will also support the production of medical staff uniforms through sewing workshops, reinforcing empowerment through work.
Al Humaidan highlighted that the partnership showcases the UAE leadership's dedication to empowering People of Determination both medically and socially. He emphasized the Authority's ongoing efforts to expand strategic partnerships across the healthcare sector to enhance early detection, diagnosis, treatment, and long-term rehabilitation.
Al Kuwaiti remarked that SEHA, as part of PureHealth, is committed to delivering comprehensive care. He noted that the agreement is designed to address the therapeutic and rehabilitative needs of People of Determination, ensuring their full societal participation.
Bader Al Qubaisi, Chief Executive Officer of Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, stated that the MoU represents a strategic move to strengthen collaboration between healthcare and social entities in Abu Dhabi, supporting the development and inclusion of People of Determination, and aligning with national priorities.
