Miami: The Zayed Charity Run is set to commence tomorrow in Miami, Florida, marking the first stop of its 2026 international program, as announced by the Higher Organising Committee. This event, part of a tradition in the United States since 2005, aims to bring together thousands of runners from across the country, including approximately 150 participants from the UAE.

According to Emirates News Agency, the race will take place in Coconut Grove, featuring a 5-kilometre route starting at Miami City Hall and concluding at Regatta Park. The event is organized under high standards and seeks strong community engagement. The run supports the National Kidney Foundation, aiming to aid kidney failure patients and promote humanitarian and charitable causes on a global scale. This reflects the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his values of generosity and human solidarity.

The total prize pool for the event is $20,000, with $5,000 for the first place winner, $2,500 for the second, and $1,500 for the third, along with raffle prizes for participants. Mohammed Hilal Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee, stated that the event seeks to spread values of goodwill and compassion worldwide, reaffirming the UAE's commitment to health and humanitarian work and strengthening bonds of cooperation with communities globally.
