Sharjah: The seventh edition of the Jewels of Emirates Show concluded on a high note in Sharjah on Sunday, attracting thousands of visitors throughout its five-day duration.
According to Emirates News Agency, the exhibition, organized by the Expo Centre Sharjah with support from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), featured over 180 jewellery makers and more than 500 top local and global brands from the Middle East, Asia, and Europe. These participants presented collections of gold, silver, diamond jewellery, gemstones, natural pearls, and luxury watches.
Distinguished pavilions spotlighted creations from countries including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Lebanon, Italy, Russia, Turkey, Singapore, Thailand, India, and Pakistan, underscoring the exhibition's expanding global industry reach.
This year's edition marked a significant milestone with the first-time launch of the 'Luxury Pavilion', an exclusive zone for premium jewellery brands and bespoke designs. It featured leading luxury and elite jewellery houses, providing visitors with access to exceptional craftsmanship and investment-grade jewellery pieces.
The Jewels of Emirates Show 2026 also hosted the second Sharjah Pearls Exhibition, aiming to revive the UAE's pearl diving legacy through a dedicated platform blending heritage with innovation. Organized in partnership with the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), the exhibition featured an educational program, highlighting natural pearls as a core element shaping the UAE's identity.
The Emirati Goldsmiths Platform, a flagship initiative by SCCI, delivered a strong showing, reporting a 10% growth in affiliated Emirati women jewellery designers. This reinforced its role in promoting Emirati jewellery and supporting local talent.
Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI, stated that the Jewels of Emirates Show has evolved into a strategic platform within Sharjah's trade events, reinforcing the emirate's economic framework. He added that the Sharjah Chamber is committed to supporting SMEs in the creative industries, in line with the UAE Centennial vision.
Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, noted that the 7th Jewels of Emirates Show set new benchmarks with the 'Luxury Pavilion,' expanding global partnerships, and strengthening distinctive gemstones in the jewellery design value chain.
Mona Al Suwaidi, Director of the Executive Office of SCCI's Chairman and in charge of the Emirati Goldsmiths Platform, stated that participation in the Jewels of Emirates Show serves as the Platform's key annual strategic showcase, featuring collections that blend cultural heritage with contemporary design.
This year's edition showcased high-end jewellery featuring unique pieces set with significant carat gemstones, limited-edition luxury watches, and bespoke bridal sets. Rare pieces included creations with colored diamonds in pink and yellow hues, and premium Gulf natural pearls.
Emirati jewellery designers demonstrated outstanding presence with heritage-inspired collections of gold artifacts and exclusive pieces launched within the 'Emirati Goldsmiths' Platform, captivating audiences with their craftsmanship.
The Sharjah Pearls Exhibition created a knowledge environment integrating scientific expertise with cultural heritage, featuring the Encyclopedia of Traditional Jewellery, a project preserving Emirati artisanal heritage.
The exhibition hosted Sharjah Pearl Evenings, a platform for discussing global standards for pearl evaluation and classification, with heritage storytelling sessions highlighting traditional pearl diving narratives.
Italian participation was prominent, with 36 exhibitors from Italy's prestigious jewellery houses. The exhibition featured events, competitions, and prize draws, with pavilions offering promotions and deals on gold, jewellery, and gemstones.
