EDGE Signs MoU with Specialist Mechanical Engineers to Manufacture Land Vehicle Components in UAE

Abu Dhabi: TRUST, an entity of EDGE and a critical component of national security and defense capability, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Specialist Mechanical Engineers (SME), a company based in South Africa known for providing turnkey solutions in HVAC and complex mechanical systems. According to Emirates News Agency, the agreement was unveiled during the Make It in the Emirates Forum, which is being held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from 19th to 22nd May. This strategic partnership aims to enhance the manufacturing of land vehicle components within the UAE, potentially strengthening the country's defense capabilities. The MoU was signed by Dr. Jasem Al Zaabi, who serves as the Vice President of Business Development for Trading and Mission Support at EDGE, and Iwan Agema, the Managing Director of SME. This collaboration highlights the commitment of both companies to foster advanced manufacturing and technology development in the region.
