Dubai: The Emirates Airline Foundation and Emirates Auction have successfully raised AED8.8 million (US$ 2.4 million) to support humanitarian programs for underprivileged children worldwide.
According to Emirates News Agency, the auction, which took place from 17th December 2025 to 17th January 2026, attracted over 900 bids from participants across 131 countries. Seven rare Emirates Skywards membership numbers with Platinum tier status benefits were offered, with the highest single bid reaching AED1.6 million. Two bidders secured 20-year Platinum memberships, while five others won 15-year memberships. Top bidders came from the UAE, UK, India, United States, Pakistan, France, Germany, Egypt, and Thailand, among other countries.
The funds raised will enable the Foundation to launch new projects and expand support for existing programs in collaboration with 14 NGOs across nine countries. Following this initiative's success, the Emirates Airline Foundation and Emirates Auction will continue to hold annual auction events, providing an ongoing opportunity for supporters worldwide to contribute to the Foundation's mission.
Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline and Chairman of the Emirates Airline Foundation, expressed satisfaction with the initiative's impact. He noted that the auction's success was due to the exclusivity and prestige of the Platinum membership status, which attracted a generous global community of bidders. The proceeds will help partner with more organizations, reach new communities, and strengthen existing programs benefiting children worldwide.
Meanwhile, Abdullah Matar Al Mannai, Chairman and Managing Director of Emirates Auction, highlighted the collaboration's success, pointing out the impact of combining purpose, innovation, and collaboration. He emphasized the importance of supporting charitable and humanitarian initiatives and expressed pride in the strong partnership with Emirates Airline.
