International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council Launches ‘Impact Makers’ Initiative

Abu Dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs and Chairman of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council, highlighted the significance of enriching humanitarian content as a shared responsibility between media institutions and digital content creators. This initiative is vital due to the UAE's leadership's unwavering support for equipping young Arab talent with advanced storytelling tools and skills related to humanitarian and development efforts.

According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Theyab emphasized the importance of showcasing humanitarian initiatives and developmental contributions to foster community solidarity and positively impact millions worldwide. He noted the UAE's implementation of significant humanitarian projects that reinforce its global leadership position. His remarks came during the launch of the 'Impact Makers' initiative by the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council in partnership with the New Media Academy.

The 'Impact Makers' initiative offers educational programmes and training workshops focused on digital media content creation related to humanitarian and developmental work. H.H. Sheikh Theyab stressed the empowerment of individuals to create positive and influential content addressing humanitarian issues, enhancing community awareness through storytelling and effective media strategies. These efforts are particularly relevant for initiatives that provide essential services in areas like healthcare and education, ultimately leading to prosperity, stability, and security.

Targeting journalists, camera crews, and content creators from the UAE, the Arab world, and beyond, the initiative aims to enhance their skills in storytelling, media content preparation, and the production of audio and visual programmes across various digital platforms in innovative and engaging ways. Additionally, it will train official spokespersons from UAE-based humanitarian donor organisations and charitable associations in corporate reputation strategies and media crisis management.

The New Media Academy supports content creators and social media influencers, enabling them to convey their messages professionally and contribute to social growth. The "Impact Makers" initiative includes several training modules, such as "Spokesperson Skills, Media Appearance, and Crisis Management in the Media," the "Humanitarian Impact Journalism" programme, and the "Humanitarian Impact Content Creators" programme, with one version in collaboration with the Arab Youth Centre.
