Mansoor Bin Mohammed Reviews Coordination and Security at Dubai International Airport

Dubai: H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Border Security Council, emphasized the importance of streamlined procedures and seamless coordination among government entities to sustain Dubai's leadership in travel security and passenger flow during a visit to Dubai International Airport (DXB).

According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Mansoor highlighted the necessity of maintaining speed and efficiency in customs operations to preserve Dubai's competitive edge. During his airport visit, he reviewed operations of key government entities, including Dubai Police, the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, Dubai Customs, and the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority. The visit aimed to assess the readiness of these teams to handle increasing passenger traffic.

Sheikh Mansoor credited the forward-looking vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for establishing Dubai as a global leader in aviation. He noted that the aviation sector is a crucial component of the emirate's economic growth strategy and a driver for the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.

The Sheikh acknowledged the strategic guidance of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, which has made Dubai Airports a model of operational efficiency and future-readiness. His leadership continues to drive development and excellence in the aviation sector, enhancing innovation and security.

He emphasized that the achievements in the aviation sector reflect teamwork among partner entities and showcase Dubai's rapid digital transformation in airport and air services management. This aligns with a strategic vision that enhances Dubai's status as a global hub for travel, trade, and logistics.

Sheikh Mansoor reiterated that Dubai is committed to developing advanced digital solutions and innovative practices to uphold safety, efficiency, and passenger experience standards. These efforts, aligned with leadership's vision, further consolidate Dubai's standing as a model of service excellence and a critical enabler of the global economy.

During the visit, Sheikh Mansoor was accompanied by Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director-General of the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, and Omar Ali Salem Al Adidi, Secretary-General of the Council, among others. Al Adidi noted that the visit is part of ongoing efforts to enhance border security and strengthen collaboration among government entities at Dubai's ports.

He stated that the focus is on advanced risk analysis and management using cutting-edge technologies, especially as passenger numbers at DXB continue to rise. This growth underlines Dubai's status as a global gateway for travel and international transit.

Passenger traffic at Dubai International Airport rose by 2.3% to 46 million in the first half of 2025, marking its busiest first half ever. The airport recorded its highest monthly traffic in January with 8.5 million passengers. With increasing global travel and events, the months ahead are expected to see significant passenger flow increases through Dubai, reinforcing the city's position as a global aviation benchmark.
