Abu dhabi: Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, along with Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State, graced the reception hosted by Sharif Mahmoud Said Eissa, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the UAE. The event marked the 73rd anniversary of the 23rd July Revolution and was held at the Egyptian Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
According to Emirates News Agency, the gathering saw the presence of several senior officials, members of the Arab and foreign diplomatic corps accredited to the UAE, and members of the Egyptian community residing in the country. In his address, Ambassador Sherif Eissa underlined the robust relations between Egypt and the UAE, grounded in the principles of brotherhood established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
The ambassador highlighted the significant progress in UAE-Egypt relations over the past two years, noting that Emirati direct investment in Egypt has reached an unprecedented figure of nearly $70 billion. This makes the UAE the largest investing country in Egypt. He also pointed out the UAE's significant investments in the Ras El Hekma project on Egypt's northern coast and mentioned that the bilateral trade between the two nations exceeds $4 billion annually.
