Dubai: On the sidelines of the Dubai Airshow 2025, the UAE Government Leaders Programme (UAE GLP) announced the launch of a strategic partnership with Airbus Beyond, the educational and training arm of the global Airbus company. This partnership is part of the UAE Government's efforts to enhance the leadership development system and upskill national cadres in line with international standards.
According to Emirates News Agency, the partnership underscores UAE GLP's commitment to enhancing collaboration in developing leadership skills. The initiative aims to leverage Airbus's global expertise in designing advanced programmes to prepare government leaders, aligning with a vision that anticipates future shifts and promotes UAE's leadership in government work.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Mohamed Yousef Al Sharhan, Director of Government Leaders and Talents Department at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, and Adam McGonigal, CEO of Airbus Beyond. Mohamed Al Sharhan emphasized the UAE GLP's dedication to expanding its network of strategic global partnerships, which are crucial for strengthening the capabilities of government leaders in the UAE. He highlighted that this collaboration would enable leaders to acquire necessary skills and expertise to lead future governments and drive positive change within the government ecosystem.
Al Sharhan further stated that the partnership with Airbus Beyond provides UAE government leaders with access to global best practices and innovative models. It offers a platform for engagement with influential figures in the aviation sector, allowing UAE GLP to benefit from the expertise of this industry and develop innovative practices that enhance the efficiency and leadership excellence of government work.
Adam McGonigal, CEO of Airbus Beyond, remarked that at Airbus, leadership development is viewed as a key driver for enhancing innovation and shaping the future. He expressed that the partnership reflects a shared commitment to empowering high-potential individuals with the knowledge, expertise, and insights required to lead in an increasingly complex world.
The partnership offers UAE government leaders opportunities to participate in Airbus's flagship leadership events, such as the Leadership Forum, and access to learning and development platforms within the company's leadership programmes. It also facilitates networking and engagement with senior executives at Airbus.
Additionally, the partnership involves hosting key leaders from Airbus as speakers at major events organized by the UAE Government, participating in leadership sessions, specialized discussions, and panel dialogues designed to inspire and engage future leaders of the UAE.
